The Advanced Smart Grid - Best Selling Book - Gets website
"Far and away the best book yet about the smart grid. Just the right blend between theory and practice. I especially appreciate the way the Carvallo and Cooper talk not just about what smart grid is today, but also about what it could and should be tomorrow. And about why and how to start with a solid foundation capable of carrying the weight of those larger ambitions. Must reading." - Jesse Berst, Smart Grid News

Knwobility hosting SightSoundSoul
I am writing today to ask you to make a donation to help Knowbility, the nonprofit that I serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors. We have been invited to produce a series of activities including a unique art performance event at the Southwest Conference on Disability in October of 2011. Donating is easy to do and hundreds of people with disabilities will benefit. Your donation of $5, $10, $20 or more will provide an unforgettable experience.
SightSoundSoul is a performance event that makes music and art accessible. People who are deaf and those who hear, the blind and the sighted all participate in the creative energy as a painting takes shape on stage while New Orleans jazz pianist Henry Butler soulfully plays his music. American Sign Language, open captioning, audio description, and real time painting engage all of the senses. SightSoundSoul is joyful expression and shared experience - and how cool is that?
Please visit the Kickstarter web site for SightSoundSoul and make your donation now. In addition to this event, Knowbility will present their programs and services to more than 1000 conference attendees to demonstrate how technology improves the lives of people with disabilities.
